Borderlands 2 Gunzerker profiled, Siren gameplay will be ‘very, very different’

We saw the new Gunzerker class in the Borderlands 2 teaser trailer released way back in August, but Gearbox has shared a little more information about just how the gun-wielding brute will work. The class is a dual-wielder of weapons, but can only bring out two guns for a limited amount of time, which means the player will have to make tough decisions about which guns to wield and when.

Twisted Metal includes Twisted Metal: Black download code

Over on the PlayStation Blog , David Jaffe reveals that early adopters of Sony’s upcoming Twisted Metal reboot will get a bonus game free of charge. Each “Limited Edition” copy of Twisted Metal will be bundled with a download code for Twisted Metal: Black , the 2001 PS2 title, as “a thank you to our hardcore fans,” Jaffe notes

BioWare docs defend subscription model, tease free-to-play iteration of classic IP

Understandably, BioWare heads Ray Muzyka and Greg Zeschuk seem tired of beating the drum for Star Wars: The Old Republic ‘s subscription-based business model. I didn’t actually bother asking them about their thoughts on subscription vs free-to-play gaming during an interview early last week, but Zeschuk launched into a spirited defense nonetheless, perhaps conditioned by being asked over and over in the run up to SW: TOR ‘s launch last Monday.

The ninth day of Xbox Marketplace holiday deals rings in several Sonic the Hedgehog discounts. The blue mammal’s escapades in Sonic 4 and Sonic Adventure are 320 MSP ($4) each, a 60 percent savings, and his Genesis games are down 60 percent, at 160 MSP ($2) apiece.

Designer imagines the next Xbox

Designer Joseph Dumary dreamed up this interpretation of the next Xbox console, which he calls the “Xbox Prestige.” It’s slightly curvier than the Xbox 360 Slim, suggesting it’s from the future. It also includes a built-in “KinectIn” sensor for menu navigation and to scan cards for purchased games — buy the card, put it in front of the system, and either download it or play it streaming.

Uncharted 3 patch adds alternate aiming, brings back cutscene viewer

If you think Drake’s marksmanship went awry between Uncharted 2 and Uncharted 3 , you’ll be pleased to hear Patch 1.02 is now available, bringing alternate aiming options to the single-player game. Naughty Dog concocted these changes with the aid of its community, which has been vocal about several reticule-ous issues since Uncharted 3 launched.

‘Whore of the Orient’ is next game by LA Noire studio head

Team Bondi founder Brendan McNamara’s next game will be titled Whore of the Orient , according to Australia’s Financial Review .
