Yerli: Crytek plans to be fully free-to-play within 5 years

Ratchet and Clank: Full Frontal Assault delayed for Vita, coming spring 2013

Activision and Nickelodeon team up for 3 TMNT games

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have a new home in video game publishing. Previously in the hands of Ubisoft, the Turtles now rest with Activision thanks to a new multi-year deal inked with the TMNT owner Nickelodeon. DayZ standalone dev update flaunts new island, rehauled loot spawning

DayZ mod creator Dean Hall has been hard at work on the standalone retail version of DayZ since it was announced back in August, and even has dreams of console ports dancing around in his head. In this hefty development diary, he is joined by production assistant Matt Lightfoot and takes the time to check in with us on the improvements to the terrain of Chernarus, the enhanced UI and the new loot spawning system. A good deal of the first part of the video has to deal with clothing, but the real juicy stuff comes at the tail-end where the two go into how loot spawning has changed – specifically, items can spawn in odd places like behind an overturned chair or underneath a kitchen table.

McFarlane making Assassin’s Creed 3 action figures

Ubisoft has announced a partnership with McFarlane Toys, worldwide purveyors of articulated, authorized licensed memorabilia, the result of which is a forthcoming line of Assassin’s Creed 3 dolls action figures . The first series, available at retailers sometime this summer, will include Conner (in both traditional assassin and Ratonhnhaké:ton flavors) and Haytham Kenyway, among others. Figures are six inches tall, give or take, and feature an average of 25 points of articulation.
