Square Enix host registers Wolfenstein, Legacy of Kain domains

Two domain names were recently registered by CSC Corporate Domains, a URL registration service used by publishers such as Square Enix to mask their upcoming projects while avoiding dreaded URL squatters. So while we can’t say with any certainty that Square Enix and ZeniMax ordered the domain registration, ” wolfenstein-spiel.com ” and ” WarFornosGoth.com ” now exist. The latter likely refers to the fictional land the Legacy of Kain series is set in, Nosgoth.

Project Shield getting ‘Real Boxing’ support

Vivid Games, publisher of mobile games such as Gyro , is lending its support to Nvidia’s Tegra 4-powered Android handheld, Project Shield . Namely, Vivid Games will bring its iOS close-combat game Real Boxing to Android and include support for the system’s physical controls. The boxing game first launched on iOS devices in November 2012, and included a career mode that tasked players with stat-boosting mini-games and over 30 fights for three different championship titles

A collector of gaming antiquities has provided an incredible public service to the world, by uploading six extremely rare, extremely retro Nintendo corporate promotional tapes to YouTube. The six videos (above and after the break ) were originally used as sales pitches to promote various products and live events, such as the Super Game Boy and the 1990 Nintendo World Championships, to retailers and potential venues. Beyond their value as hilarious distractions, however, these blurry, color-smeared glimpses into the past also serve as a reminder of our community’s history — one that must be preserved and cherished, so that our children may one day know how completely ridiculous everything was in the early 90s.
