Electronic Arts has admitted that the attempted Syndicate reboot didn’t pay off as intended, but that hasn’t stopped the publisher from wanting to bring back more old game names. After all, there’s still so many things that it could turn into a first-person shooter! ” Syndicate was something that we took a risk on. It didn’t pay off — it didn’t work,” confessed Frank Gibeau, to CVG .  “But in general it doesn’t change my appetite for wanting to go look in the library and see what we have and maybe bring back some IPs for the next-generation

Review: Wargame: European Escalation

Growing up during the dawn of PC strategy games, playing everything from Dune II and Command & Conquer to Panzer General , took its toll on my teenage years. History classes only became worth paying attention to when it concerned old battles and famous generals, and I even had a period where I was convinced I was destined to become a battlefield commander when I grew up. As I quickly learned when the PC real-time strategy genre became more competitive in the online age, the last place I should be is in a position where I command lives without a restart option

Another retailer temporarily lists Black Ops 2

Retailer Fnac posted a listing for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 that pinned the game as releasing in November. Since this is the Internet we’re talking about here, you can rest assured that someone — in this case, Gamepur — was immediately on the case to grab a screen capture before it was too late.
