Ghost Recon Online gears up with Assassin’s-themed DLC

Ubisoft has announced a cross promotion that will see new equipment in  Ghost Recon Online  based on the upcoming Assassin’s Creed 3  downloadable content, The Tyranny of King Washington: The Infamy. The equipment will consist of five new Recon class items, including the recognizable Assassin’s Creed hood and four pieces of body armor, as well as six new weapons straight from the  Abstergo industries private security forces:  F2000 SP AC, Fiveseven AC, MG36 KV AC, P90 C AC, Sentinel SR-1 AC, and the Pentagun SP AC, all of which feature accuracy and recoil buffs. These items are available for purchase starting today through March 1, and can be bought using Requisition points, in-game points, or Ghost Coins, in-game currency

Ubisoft: ‘Fans certainly won’t have to wait four more years for next Far Cry’

Speaking in an earnings call today, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot said “fans certainly won’t have to wait four more years for the next Far Cry.” With Far Cry 3 performing “way better than expected,” helping it to ship 4.5 million , Ubisoft is keen to take advantage of what it feels is the right brand of gameplay for the series, despite partially attributing the third entry’s profitability to the four-year-wait between it and Far Cry 2 . Assassin’s Creed considered co-op, but it ‘didn’t fit’ the story
